Architectural Imagery – Aug ’14

Another series of images on a theme; this time it’s architectural – buildings, walls, windows, doors, and brick. Some of these images are ‘straight’ shots. [It’s always nice when subject, composition, and lighting come together.] Then, there are other shots that I have to take because of my ‘graphic eye’. The elements in the frame or the textures I see are interesting to me, but I know there isn’t enough there to make a really interesting photograph. That’s when post production becomes necessary.

These, and all other images on this Site are for sale.

More than architectural

Photoshop to the rescue. It allows me to add content that might make a shot more conceptual, or to composite the brick walls with extra layers of color and texture. The result is painterly as well as being suggestive of something more than brick and mortar.
